Our production facility is equipped with 7 sets of Engel Injection molding machines, ranges from 60 Tons to 150 Tons. We are proficient with engineering material and high-end plastics such as PA, PA+GF, PC/ABS, PBT, PEEK, PPSU, PPS and PEI. You are able to work with the same project manager “From Conception to Completion”, reducing lag time in communication between the mold manufacturing company and injection molding supplier, it can significantly reduce downtime and cost when problems arise in production, saving your time and money. The combined effort of our designers and toolmakers results in molds that ensure quality, precision tolerances, and optimized cycle times.
Injection molding produces parts by forcing molten material into a mold where it cools and hardens to the mold’s shape. First, you have to have the 3D part design, then we can make the plastic mold according to your part design. After that, we put the mold on the injection molding machine to make the parts. The injection molding cycle is as follows:
1, Clamping, The mold is closed by a clamping unit, screw begins moving forward for injection.
2, Injection, Plastic pellets are fed by means of a hopper into the injection moulding machine. These pellets move towards the mould by the injection unit. The heat surrounding the barrel and the pressure serve to melt the pellets. This molten plastic would then be fed to the mold and the application of pressure make sure the holding and packing of material.
3, Cooling The cooling process involves the plastic inside the mould beginning to cool after it makes contact with the interior mould. Cooling is done so as to solidify the molten plastic into the desired shape. The part may shrink slightly during cooling. It must be noted that mold should not be opened until required cooling time is elapsed.
4, Ejection As soon as the cooling time elapses, the cooled part is subjected to be ejected from the mold with the help of the Ejection Unit. Ejection is done through the opening of mold where a mechanism pushes the final product out of the mold.
If you have a high-volume custom plastic products project that requires injection molding, there are many factors to consider for custom plastic molding, but the part design and tool design are two of the most important. For the part design, you have to think about the material selection, wall thickness, draft angle, Ribs, Sharp vs curved corners, Bosses, surface finishing and so on. For the tool design, you have to think about the injection system, cooling system, ejection system, and mechanical system.
Stebro offers comprehensive plastic injection molding services to a wide range of industries.
2K Injection Molding is also known as two-shot molding, double shot molding, two-component injection molding or multi-component injection molding. With this technology, two materials with different properties, colors or levels of hardness are processed into one end product in one injection molding process.
Overmolding is a unique injection molding process where a single part is created using two or more different plastic materials in combination. During the overmolding process, the base layer is molded first and the additional plastic layer(s) are molded over and around the original part – resulting in a single, finished product.
Insert molding is a process in which plastic is injected into a mold that contains a pre-placed insert. The result of insert molding is a single molded plastic piece with an insert surrounded by the plastic. Inserts can be made of metals or different types of plastic. Stebro Mold is also equipped with two vertical injection molding machines for wide range plastic insert molding processes.
With a rotary table on the “B-half” of the tool that spins around 180⁰, this machine can utilize two “B-half’s”, allowing for more molded parts to be created high productivity. Vertical molding takes advantage of gravity to keep metal inserts secure in the necessary tool locations.
We are experienced with insert molding and can quickly inform you of the possibilities and impossibilities for your product. Contact us and we will be glad to give you the solution for your plastic project.
Whether you need a plastic manufacturing company to make both the mold and plastic parts manufacturing for you or you’re just looking for an export mold to produce plastic parts in your own facility, with your own plastics for injection molding, we’re ready to get the job done correctly and quickly with competitive price.
